To all our faithful book donators and book buyers: Spring is almost here, and the Friends of the Library are happy to report that we are ready to resume accepting your gently used books at the Takoma Park DC Neighborhood Library! Our spring sale will be held on May 16, with May 30 as the rain day.
We would like books of all types — gently used fiction and nonfiction. Books that have sold well include: biographies and autobiographies cookbooks literary and popular fiction, including science fiction history and politics social sciences children’s books graphic novels do-it-yourselfHowever, we will happily accept all other categories. EXCEPTIONS: Textbooks, study guides or computer manuals older than 5 years, and magazines. We cannot sell books in poor condition — please put them in your home recycling.
When you bring your donations to the library, please ask the librarians for a receipt for tax purposes. Proceeds from our book sales help support the many exciting activities offered by our library, especially those geared to children and teens.
